About Lucille

What is Lucille?

Lucille is a line of simple-ingredient, high-protein, high-calorie shakes, designed to support strength, energy, and digestion in older adults.

Who are Lucille shakes for?

Lucille shakes are designed for older adults, typically who are 65+ and are focused on staying strong, nourished, and independent. They’re perfect for anyone who needs more calories or protein in a delicious, easy-to-enjoy format.

Can anyone drink Lucille?

Absolutely! While Lucille was created with seniors in mind, anyone looking for clean, high-protein, high-calorie nutrition can enjoy it.

How is Lucille different from legacy shakes?

Unlike legacy senior shakes, Lucille uses high-quality ingredients. Each shake provides a stronger nutrition profile and simpler ingredient list than existing options with 230+ calories, 20g of lactose-free milk protein isolate, 5g +of fiber, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.

What flavors are available?

Lucille shakes come in chocolate and vanilla and we are working on additional flavors! If you have a flavor in mind you would love to see, email us at care@lucillehealth.com.

What inspired the name Lucille?

Lucille is named after our founder’s grandmother, whose strength, warmth, and joy inspire everything we do. She represents a generation that values care, connection, and simplicity - qualities we aim to honor in everything we make. Naming the brand Lucille is our way of celebrating her spirit and bringing that same sense of dignity and delight to nutrition for her generation.

Nutrition & Benefits

Are Lucille shakes lactose free?

Yes, Lucille shakes are lactose-free. We use milk protein isolate, which is naturally lactose-free, making Lucille easy to digest for most people.

Can Lucille help with weight gain?

Lucille is a high-calorie, complete nutrition shake. The vanilla shake has 230 calories and the chocolate shake has 240 calories. They are designed to provide balanced, nutrient-dense calories throughout the day.

Is Lucille made without the top 9 allergens?

Lucille doesn’t contain any of the top nine allergens including wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and sesame. However, while our shakes avoid these common allergens, they are not considered hypoallergenic, and we therefore cannot guarantee that individuals will not experience a reaction to one of our ingredients. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, we recommend reviewing our ingredient list carefully and consulting with your healthcare provider before enjoying Lucille.

Is Lucille safe for people with a medical condition?

Lucille is a nutrition shake. If you have a medical condition, we recommend consulting your doctor or dietitian before adding Lucille to your routine.

How was Lucille formulated?

Lucille was developed in collaboration with experts from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to make sure it delivers the optimal balance of protein, calories, fiber, and essential nutrients. Every ingredient and ratio was chosen with care to support strength, energy, and digestion, without a single unnecessary additive.

How to Enjoy Lucille

How should Lucille be consumed?

Lucille can be enjoyed straight from the bottle at room temperature, but it tastes even better when served cold. Sip it with the included straw, pour it over a glass of ice, blend it into a smoothie, or put it in the NinjaCreami for a more indulgent option. The options are endless!

How should Lucille be stored?

Lucille shakes should be stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 48 hours.

Can Lucille be used as a meal replacement?

Yes, Lucille can be enjoyed as a meal replacement, as a nourishing snack, or as part of a balanced meal. Each shake is a single source of nutrition that provides high-quality protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals to help support strength and energy throughout the day.

Sustainability & Packaging

Can Lucille bottles be recycled?

Thank you for caring about recycling Lucille cartons!

We’re proud to use Tetra Pak® cartons because they’re designed to be more sustainable and recyclable. Recycling options vary by location, so the best way to check if Tetra Pak cartons are accepted in your area is to visit recyclecartons.com. Every effort makes a difference, and we’re grateful you’re helping us reduce waste.

Why does Lucille use Tetra Pak® cartons?

We chose Tetra Pak® cartons because they are lightweight, shelf-stable, and designed with sustainability in mind. They protect the quality of our shakes without needing refrigeration until opened, which helps reduce food waste and energy during transport and storage.
